Police injured in Londonderry car crash

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after three officers were injured in a car crash in Londonderry.

The officers were travelling in a car along the Creggan Road in Rosemount when it crashed shortly after 03:00 GMT on Sunday morning.

They were responding to an emergency domestic incident. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The officers were taken to hospital but have since been discharged.

Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

Police have thanked people who left their homes to offer assistance to the officers.
