The police are to meet residents in Rosemount in Londonderry on Tuesday to discuss ongoing anti-social behaviour.

It comes after some residents took to the streets at the weekend to protest at the problem.

PSNI Ch Insp Jon Burrows said more neighbourhood police teams would be on duty in the area at weekends.

He told BBC Radio Foyle that everyone had a responsibility to work together to try and bring the situation under control.

"There is a responsibility on people who are complaining about anti-social behaviour to engage with the police so that we can help them," he said.

"We have amended the shift patterns of our neighbourhood teams so that they are on duty more often at the weekend.

"We are putting our money where our mouth is.

"These things happen across cities and towns across Northern Ireland, but we are committed to this."
