Derry: Man's car hijacked 'at knifepoint'

A motorist has been left badly shaken after his car was hijacked by armed men in Londonderry.

He was travelling on Prehen Road at about 05:00 GMT on Sunday when two men stood in the road, forced him to stop and ordered him out of his vehicle.

Det Con Richard Donnell said: "The men wore dark clothing with hoods up and one was reportedly armed with a knife."

The pair got into the Citroen C4 and drove off. Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

The investigating officer said the driver was not injured but was left "badly shaken" by the hijacking.
