Ballymena alert: police say 'nothing untoward' found

Police have said "nothing untoward" was found during a security alert in Ballymena.

A number of controlled explosions were carried out on a suspicious car at Crebilly Road in the Ballykeel area.

Meanwhile, police have received reports of a suspicious object in Woodland Avenue in north Belfast.

The junction of Cliftonville Avenue and Cliftonville Road has been closed. Traffic is being diverted to Cliftonpark Avenue and Manor Street.

Army bomb experts have been sent to the scene.
