PM: 'Changing nature of al-Qaeda threat'

Prime Minister David Cameron told the House of Commons that the spreading threat of al-Qaeda groups needed a greater international response.

He was making a statement to MPs about the recent hostage crisis in Algeria.

He said "al-Qaeda franchises have spread" and that a response "based on strong international partnerships" was needed.
