Scottish independence: SNP 'ducking big questions'

A white paper setting out a blueprint for an independent Scotland contains nothing new, former UK chancellor Alistair Darling has said.

Mr Darling, who heads the Better Together campaign, accused First Minister Alex Salmond of "making claims and assertions", rather than providing facts.

The 649-page Scottish government white paper will be debated in Holyrood on Wednesday.
