Ed Miliband fails to recognise Swindon's Labour leader

20 May 2014 Last updated at 12:24 BST

Labour leader Ed Miliband has been questioned about his local knowledge in an interview with BBC Wiltshire.

Asked by the BBC's Ben Prater whether he thought Jim Grant was doing a good job, he said: "Lots of Labour representatives are doing a good job right across the country."

Pressed on whether he knew who Mr Grant - the leader of the Labour group on Swindon Borough Council - was, Mr Miliband replied: "You'll enlighten me, I'm sure."
