Man slashed in 'vicious' attack
A "vicious and unprovoked" attack on a 26-year-old man in Glasgow city centre will leave his face badly scarred, police have said.
The man was seriously assaulted when he went to the aid of two woman on Sauchiehall Street at about 0230 BST on Saturday.
He was slashed in the face by one of the two men who had been "bothering" the women.
Police said they wanted to trace the men, who are believed to be Turkish.
The first was described as 5ft 5in and of medium build, with black hair that was shaved at the sides.
He was about 24 and was wearing blue jeans and a dark, striped jumper.
The second suspect was 6ft and of slim build with dark short hair.
He was in his late twenties and was wearing cream-coloured jeans.
Det Con Gavin Lambie said: "This was a vicious and totally unprovoked attack on this young man who was walking home after a night out in the city centre.
"He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated then later released, however the attack will leave his face badly scarred."
