Bus hit by level crossing barrier

A bus has been hit by a level crossing barrier in West Lothian, British Transport Police have confirmed.

The barrier shattered a window on the bus but no-one was hurt in the incident, which happened near Kirknewton station at about 1930 BST.

British Transport Police said they were investigating the circumstances which led to the bus being hit by the descending barrier.

Witnesses reported trains passing by while the bus remained stuck.
