Scottish Borders flood alert lifted

A flood alert issued for the Scottish Borders has been lifted by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa).

Sepa said the alert, which was first issued on Tuesday, was no longer in force.

Residents had previously been warned that river levels could rise resulting in some localised surface water flooding.

Most of the country was put on flood alert on Tuesday, but these were lifted later in the day.
