People's festival promises 'riot'

The Edinburgh People's festival is to close with a "riotous" night of comedy, organisers have promised.

The festival, which promises to keep its shows within the financial reach of everyone, takes place throughout the city.

Festival director Colin Fox said: "Our event is 'a secret policeman's ball' with a difference.

"One where all the police have been sent to London to quell unrest and we have a riotous evening in Gorgie."

Comedians Simon Munnery, Ada Vidal, Gavin Webster and Lee Camp will appear at the BMC Club event.
