Students combine form with function


Scotland's heritage includes the industrial skill of James Watt and the artistry of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Present day success requires the ability to combine form and function in everything from iPads to cars.

Glasgow is the home of a course, one of only a few worldwide, where students go to art school and emerge with an engineering degree.

BBC Scotland's science correspondent Kenneth Macdonald went to see what kind of future they have in store for us.
