Alan Cumming: 'Macbeth is everywhere for me'

Alan Cumming stars in a new National Theatre of Scotland production at the Tramway Theatre in Glasgow.

The actor plays the title role of Macbeth and everyone else.

He says taking the role was an obvious choice: "When I first read the play, I thought it was amazing that I knew all these places".

Mr Cumming spoke to BBC Scotland's arts correspondent Pauline McLean about growing up in Scotland, life in New York and returning to Glasgow.
