Mike Russell apologises for using wrong figures in college funding

Education Secretary Mike Russell says he did not consider standing down over giving inaccurate funding figures to the Scottish Parliament on college budgets and claims of intimidation.

Mr Russell again apologised for getting the funding figures wrong and faced cross party calls for him to quit his post.

Speaking on BBC Newsnight Scotland, he was adamant that he had no plans to resign, nor had Alex Salmond suggested such a course of action.
