Heavy rain has brought localised flooding to parts of Scotland.

The Stirling to Aberfoyle A821 road has been closed at Duke's Pass, with flood water up to 3ft (1m) deep reported in the area.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of heavy rain for the UK, including southern Scotland, which is valid until 09:00 on Saturday.

A yellow warning of severe gales, with storm force winds for a time, has been issued for the Western Isles.

It applies to the period from 20:00 on Friday to 06:00 on Saturday.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) has issued four flood warnings, all of them in Tayside.

Further flood alerts have been posted, covering most of Scotland.

Tayside Police, who cover the area where some of the heaviest rain has fallen, urged drivers to take "the utmost care in what are challenging and difficult driving conditions".
