Man reported and £43,000 seized in Glasgow fraud raid

About £43,000 has been seized in a police fraud raid in Glasgow that led to a 44-year-old man being reported to the procurator fiscal.

Documents and other personal items were also taken from the flat in Forth Street, Pollokshields.

Financial officers from Strathclyde Police's major crime and terrorism investigation unit carried out the raid at about 06:50.

Officers have called for further information about the alleged fraud.

Det Insp David Perrit said: "Through effective intelligence gathering, help and support from the community, we can successfully detect and arrest those involved in criminality and cause considerable disruption to them."
