Speed camera upgrade announced by Transport Scotland

Transport Scotland has announced a £2.4m upgrade to the speed camera network.

Existing film stock cameras will be upgraded to digital.

A Transport Scotland spokeswoman said: "Road safety is a priority for this government and we are making good progress towards meeting the ambitious 2020 targets."

Those targets aim to reduce the number of people killed on Scotland's roads by 40% compared to 2009.
