Man robbed of several thousand pounds in Cove attack

A 50-year-old man has been robbed of several thousand pounds in cash in Cove.

The man was walking on Loirston Road, at its junction with Loirston Manor, at about 10:45 when he was pushed to the ground and the money stolen.

The attacker was described as being a thin male in his early 20s.

He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, blue jogging bottoms and black gloves. Officers appealed for information.

After the robbery, the assailant is thought to have made off in the direction of Loirston Avenue.

Grampian Police detectives would also like to speak to anyone who saw the victim, who is thought to have suffered only minor injury, in the area at the time.

He is described as being 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, with greying ginger hair, wearing glasses, a brown jacket and black trousers.
