Three Scottish Police Authority officials to step down from posts

Three senior officials of the three-month-old Scottish Police Authority are to step down from their positions.

Interim chief executive, Andrea Quinn, will leave at the end of the summer.

Two other senior managers are also leaving the organisation when their short term contracts come to an end.

The authority, which was set up alongside the single Scotland Police service, said the changes would not have a "fundamental impact" on its work to improve policing.

However, Labour said the departures showed a "crisis of leadership" in Scottish policing.
