The front pages of the Scottish papers are dominated by the election results.

The Daily Record has named Nicola Sturgeon the "first lady" having forecasted that the SNP would take every Labour Westminster seat in Scotland.

It was a night that will "change Britain for ever" according to the front page of The Scotsman with reports that the historic SNP landslide raises the prospect of a second referendum and has left Labour "humiliated" in defeat.

The Scottish Sun, The Herald and The National lead with last night's exit polls which projected a massive victory for the Nationalists and a massive Labour wipe out.

According to the Scottish Daily Express, the SNP has rewritten election history while the north east's Evening Express reports on former SNP leader Alex Salmond's victory in taking the Gordon seat.
