Men convicted of abusing four-year old twins

Two men have been jailed after being convicted of sexually abusing four-year-old twins and had their names added to the sex offenders register.

Cameron Skead, 44, and Billy Brown, 27, carried out the attacks at a house in Edinburgh between 2002 and 2004.

The trial was told that Skead would babysit the children and Brown came over to the house on occasion.

The pair denied a series of indecency offences but were found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow on Wednesday.

Skead was jailed for six years and Brown was given a lesser sentence of three and a half years.

Judge Morris told them: "You were convicted of serious sexual offences against young children."

He added that Brown was receiving a lesser sentence, saying: "You were a child yourself when these offences were committed."
