Cocaine seized from car by police in Edinburgh

Cocaine with an estimated value of £220,000 has been seized after a car was stopped by police in Edinburgh.

Lothian and Borders Police officers made the discovery after stopping the vehicle on the Edinburgh city bypass at Straiton on Friday.

Four kilos of the Class A drug were discovered in packages within the car.

Two men, aged 29 and 43, have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences, and are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.
