Second attack on teenager in Glenrothes
An 18-year-old woman has been attacked in a Fife town two days after the indecent assault of another teenager.
Wednesday night's incident happened in the Stenton area of Glenrothes at about 2030 BST.
She was approached by a man on Donrobin Road who grabbed her before she managed to break free and run home.
Fife Constabulary have also renewed an appeal for witnesses after a 15-year-old girl was indecently assaulted in Glenrothes on Monday.
The police are not linking the two incidents as the descriptions of the two suspects are different but said they were keeping an open mind.
The suspect on Wednesday night was described as being in his late twenties, of slim build. He was wearing a distinctive dark-coloured waterproof jacket and jeans and smelled strongly of alcohol.
The suspect involved in the first attack was described as being in his late 30s, 6ft with short, brown hair, heavily built with a large belly. He was wearing a white polo shirt with writing on the front and dark jeans.
Monday's attack happened in Craigievar Drive as the 15-year-old was walking from the Anima nightclub to Pitteuchar at about 2200 BST.
Police want to speak to anyone who was in Glenrothes town centre on Monday evening and saw the attacker.
In particular, officers want to talk to a man, thought to be in his early 20s, who may have seen the victim at Craigievar Drive.
They have also appealed to a group seen standing near the entrance of the Anima nightclub, who may have left a bingo hall when the victim walked past at about 2140 BST.
The victim was wearing light-coloured clothing and was holding a carrier bag.
She was walking from the area of the club in Church Street when she became aware of the man following her.
He made his along a pathway, known locally as the Seaton Path, which runs from the town centre, across Warout Road then through Warout woods to Pitteuchar.
He grabbed the girl from behind as the pathway approached Craigievar Drive and sexually assaulted her.
