Ski centre closed after wind damage

The longest dry ski slope in Europe is to remain closed while work continues on damage caused by recent high winds.

Midlothian Snowsports Centre is to remain closed on Tuesday and Wednesday after it was forced to shut on Friday.

One of the smaller buildings at the centre and some of the matting has been damaged.

Peter Boyes, Midlothian Council's sport spokesman, said: "Council staff have been working hard over the weekend to repair the damage to the slope."
