Murder charge over Edinburgh flat fire body find

A man has been charged with murder after the body of a 45-year-old man was found following a fire at a flat in Edinburgh.

The body of Alan Ross was found at his first-floor flat in Pilton Drive North at about 0230 GMT on Sunday.

Lothian and Borders Police said they believed there had been a disturbance at the flat before the fire broke out.

A 26-year-old man, who has not been named, is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
