Plants worth £250,000 seized from Fife cannabis farm

About 750 cannabis plants with a street value of £250,000 have been seized by police in Fife.

Officers discovered the cannabis factory at a property in Murray Place, Leslie, on Sunday.

A 46-year-old man was arrested under the Misuse of Drugs Act and is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Ch Insp Derek Finnie said: "Farming of cannabis by organised crime gangs is one area where we are determined to detect and disrupt such groups."
