Dalkeith man in court over £900,000 heroin haul

A 27-year old man has appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court following the seizure of heroin worth an estimated £900,000 from a car in Midlothian.

Steven Carse, from Dalkeith, was charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

No plea or declaration was made and he was remanded in custody.

On Wednesday, the 9kg (20lb) of heroin was found in a car in Howgate and ecstasy tablets worth an estimated £5,000 seized at a house in Dalkeith.
