Bragg and Brown at book festival
Broadcaster Melvyn Bragg and former prime minister's wife Sarah Brown will be among the names appearing at Edinburgh International Book Festival.
The event which runs from 13 to 29 August will feature 800 writers.
The festival will be opened by author Alasdair Gray who will stage a reading of his work with actors and writers.
Former Celtic footballer John Hartson is also due to attend the annual extravaganza at Charlotte Square in the capital.
Bloggers, journalists and other observers of the recent uprisings in Egypt and Libya will be tackling the theme of revolution.
Organisers have also said that Dame Joan Bakewell, Pamela Stephenson and Audrey Niffenegger are expected to attend.
