The family of a soldier who went missing two months ago have been told a body has been found in Fife.

Mehmet Ali Osman, 25, disappeared after calling at his mother's home in Lochgelly at the beginning of June.

Police found the body of a man in a wooded area of Dunfermline last week. Fife Constabulary said the man's death was not being treated as suspicious.

Police officers are not confirming the identity of the man's body until DNA tests have been carried out.

Mr Osman has not been seen since Wednesday 1 June.
