Driver injured in Crail Airfield drag race event
A driver has been airlifted to hospital after a crash at an race track in Fife.
The 46-year-old man, who was driving a Renault Clio in the Crail Thrash in Anstruther, sustained serious head injuries.
He was among members of the public who took to the Crail Airfield track in their own modified cars following the Ultimate Scottish Street Bike event.
Fife Constabulary said the car left the track and no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
A spokesman for the force asked witnesses to the crash, which happened at 15:55, and other drivers using the track to contact them.
