Van plunges into Newhaven Harbour at high speed
A firefighter entered the sea to check if anyone was trapped inside a Transit van which was found floating in an Edinburgh harbour.
The white van was seen travelling at speed before breaking through barriers and landing in Newhaven Harbour.
The incident happened at about 06:30 in Pier Place. Officers said nobody was found inside the van.
The road has been reopened. Police, who used a crane to remove the van, said inquiries were ongoing.
