Police appeal to driver after Edinburgh attack

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a serious assault on a 32-year-old man in Edinburgh.

Two young men, thought to be aged about 16 or 17 years old, set upon the victim in Gladstone Place at about 02:20.

They kicked him on the head and body leaving him with a fracture to his left arm.

Officers particularly want to hear from a car driver who stopped and shouted at the two men as then ran off across Leith Links.

The suspects were described as being of skinny build and were both wearing light-coloured hooded tops. They were with two females.
