Man, 91, pushed to ground at his Edinburgh home

A 91-year-old man was knocked to the ground as a man and woman forced their way into his house before stealing money from him.

The pensioner had refused the woman access to his home in Duke Street, Edinburgh, but was pushed to the floor.

Lothian and Borders Police said the incident happened at about 14:30 on Friday.

The female robber was aged about 40, 5ft 6in, of thin build and had a weather-beaten face and long hair.

She was wearing dark clothes.

The man was also aged about 40 and was 5ft 10in tall, with a skinny build. He was clean shaven, was also wearing dark clothes and had a local accent.

Anyone with information should contact Lothian and Borders Police.
