Thieves brandish knives in Edinburgh shop
Two robbers who brandished knives to steal money and cigarettes from an Edinburgh shop are being sought by police.
The robbery took place at about 17:15 on Saturday in Premier Stores on Broomhouse Road.
Both thieves are in their early 20s and are of slim to medium build.
One of the men was wearing a white/navy hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms. The second man was wearing a black hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.
Police said it was likely a dark coloured bag was being carried by one of the thieves immediately after the incident.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "Thankfully the victim wasn't injured, however he was left shaken as a result of what happened, and we are appealing for any information that can help us identify the suspects.
"We are particularly keen to speak to a woman who was near to the shop when the suspects left the premises.
"She is described as having dark shoulder-length hair, and was wearing dark clothing and white trainers.
"Anyone else who saw the suspects in the area, or who recognises their descriptions, should also get in touch."
