Woman burned in fire at Edinburgh sheltered housing complex

A 64-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after a fire at a sheltered housing complex in Edinburgh.

The woman was rescued by firefighters after suffering burns and smoke inhalation in the blaze at the Woodthorpe complex in Redford Road.

She was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service has launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
