One-year-old treated after blaze
A one-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a fire in a bedroom at a house in Edinburgh.
Fire crews were called to the scene in Denham Green Avenue at about 22:00 on Thursday.
The boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh suffering from smoke inhalation.
There were no reports of any other casualties. Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue had the blaze under control by about 22:25.
Meanwhile, two women had to be rescued from a flat after a fire in a kitchen.
Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident in Thornybauk, Fountainbridge, Edinburgh, at about 22:30 on Thursday.
A 46-year-old woman was taken to the capital's Royal Infirmary for treatment to burns and smoke inhalation.
A 50-year-old woman was also rescued and treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but the service said she refused to go to hospital.
