Boy in hospital after bus crash in Rosyth

A 10-year-old boy is being treated in hospital after he was hit by a bus, police have said.

The boy was said to be in a "stable" condition at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy after suffering head and back injuries.

He was hit by the Stagecoach bus at about 17:30 on Castle Road in Rosyth, close to the Rosyth Civil Sports Club.

No one else was injured in the incident. The road was closed at the scene for initial investigations.

Fife Constabulary appealed for witnesses to contact them.
