Four men and a woman charged after Edinburgh drug raids
Four men and a women have been charged with drugs offences in Edinburgh.
Officers from Lothian and Borders Police were involved in a series of raids on six properties in the south and east of the capital on Wednesday.
Police said a combination of Class A, B and C drugs were seized in the operation.
The men, aged 47, 35, 39, and 41, and the woman, aged 35, are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in connection with the seizures.
A police spokesman said: "While the amount of drugs seized was relatively small, yesterday's operation sends a strong message that the force will act on any information regarding drug dealers operating in local communities.
"The feedback that we received from the local community regarding yesterday's activity was largely positive, and we will continue to take targeted action against those who are blighting the lives of local residents through criminal activity."
