Milk spill on M8 after lorry and van crash in West Lothian
About 1,500 litres of milk was spilled onto Scotland's busiest motorway after a lorry overturned in a crash with a van.
Firefighters soaked up the huge spill, between Junctions 2 and 3 in West Lothian, with specially absorbent granules.
The east-bound carriageway was closed for almost four hours following the crash at 02:45.
A man was taken to St John's Hospital in Livingston with minor injuries.
The other driver refused to go to hospital.
