Police officer injured in attack at Glenrothes Bus Station

A police officer is being treated in hospital for facial injuries after being assaulted in Fife.

The PC was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy after being hurt at the Kingdom Centre, Glenrothes.

The incident took place at about 12:00 on Thursday.

A spokesman for Fife Constabulary said: "A 40-year-old man has been arrested and taken to Kirkcaldy police station."
