The parents of a teenager killed in a Fife car crash have paid tribute to him saying they are unable to believe they will not see him again.

Jefferson Kettles, 18, died in a head on crash on the A91 near the Scottish Deer Centre at the Bow of Fife at 07:50 on Monday.

A 51-year-old woman is being treated at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for serious injuries.

She was driving a Peugeot 207 and Mr Kettles was in a Peugeot 206.

Mr and Mrs Kettles said: "Jefferson was a much liked, typical teenager.

"He loved life, was loved by everyone who knew him and was a great fun-loving lad. We can't believe we won't see him again. We love you Jefferson."

Insp Brenda Sinclair, of Fife Constabulary, said: "This is a tragic loss for this family and I appeal for anyone who may have information about this accident to contact the police."

A report on the accident will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal. The A91 was closed for several hours for police investigations.
