Graham Weatherup denies steering car with elbows in Fife

A man is to stand trial accused of driving dangerously by overtaking a series of cars while steering with his elbows and filming himself in Fife.

Graham Weatherup is accused of the alleged incident on the A91 between Guarbridge and Cupar, in north east Fife on 28 February 2013.

It is alleged he drove too close to the vehicles in front before overtaking while steering with his elbows.

Prosecutors said he was filming himself while driving the car.

He was also said to be repeatedly swerved into the wrong side of the road.

Weatherup, 25, from Hawick, was not at Cupar Sheriff Court to face the charge against him.

His lawyers entered a not guilty plea on his behalf by letter.

Sheriff Charles Macnair QC set a trial date in September.
