Girl robbed at knifepoint in Edinburgh home
Police are investigating after a 15-year-old girl was robbed at knifepoint in her Edinburgh home.
A man in his 20s wearing a balaclava forced his way into the girl's house on Southhouse Crescent after she answered the door on Saturday at 22:30.
He was carrying a knife and wearing a black top and black trousers. He is about 5ft 8ins and of heavy build.
Police said he stole money and jewellery before making off. The teenager was uninjured.
Det Con Dominic Cox from Police Scotland said: "This was an isolated and unusual incident, however it is essential that we catch this man as soon as possible and so I would ask the public who has any information to contact us immediately.
"He left the house carrying a large clear or white coloured bag as well as a dark coloured rucksack."
