Two charged over death of Edward Dooley in 2008

Two men have been charged with the culpable homicide of a man who died five years ago.

Edward Dooley, died in October 2008 after receiving serious head injuries in Loanhead, Midlothian.

The 54-year-old was taken to hospital by a taxi driver after he was found on a street near a retail park but he died two days later.

Jacob Blyth Hendry, 41, and James Hendry, 34, both of Edinburgh, appeared at the city's sheriff court.

They made no plea or declaration and were both bailed to return to court at a later date.
