Bank worker dies after balcony fall in Spain

An Edinburgh bank worker has died after falling from the balcony of a hotel in Spain.

Morgan Lynn, 25, an internal control officer for the Royal Bank of Scotland, was on holiday in Benidorm when she fell on 27 February.

Her colleagues paid tribute to her, saying she would be "sadly missed".

Ms Lynn, originally from Hawick, is understood to have been staying at the Hotel Gala Placidia when she fell from the fifth floor.

An RBS spokeswoman said: "Our thoughts are with Morgan's friends and family at this difficult time.

"She will be sadly missed by her colleagues and the many friends she made while working at RBS."

A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We can confirm the death of a British national on 27 February in Benidorm, Spain.

"We are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time."
