Appeal after 15-year-old boy robbed at knifepoint

Police have appealed for for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint by three men.

The incident took place about 16:45 on 31 March when the victim walked along Glenogle Road towards Stockbridge in Edinburgh.

As the victim walked past the front door to Glenogle Swim Centre, he was approached by three males.

One of the males then threatened him with a knife and told the 15-year-old to handover his possessions.

The boy then gave over over a sum of money before another of the men took a pair of shoes from the victim's sports bag.

The three suspects made off towards Brandon Terrace and the victim continued on to Stockbridge.

All three men are all described as being white, in their 20s and dressed in tracksuits.

Detective Sergeant Lynsey Thomson said: "This was an alarming incident for the victim and we are keen to trace anyone who was in the area at the time or recognises the description of the suspects."

Police Scotland have asked anybody with any information on the incident to contact them.
