Man dies after accident on A92 in Fife
A man has died following a crash in Fife which involved an HGV.
The collision happened on the A92 eastbound between the Crossgates and Cowdenbeath junctions at about 13:20 on Monday.
The road was closed for several hours to allow investigations to be carried out. It reopened shortly before 22:00.
Police said the man would be named after relatives were informed. They urged witnesses who have not already spoken to officers to contact them.
The driver of the lorry, which was parked in a lay-by was hit by a passing vehicle.
Police officers believe the incident may have been witnessed by passing motorists, particularly the driver of a small, black car who they wish to hear from.
