Police have released an e-fit image of a man they are looking for after a woman was indecently assaulted in Livingston.

The man was seen near a property in Orchard Place in the early hours of 7 May.

He is described as white, 25 to 30-years-old, 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in, thin build, long face, with a large thin nose.

He has short dark brown or black hair and was wearing a grey sweatshirt.

Det Supt Pat Campbell said: "Can I stress that this male may have had legitimate reasons to be within this area at this time.

Suspicious behaviour

"I would ask that if this is the case, the individual comes forward in order to be eliminated from the investigation.

"Any suggestions as to the identity of this male from the public should be forwarded to the police as a matter of urgency."

He added: "We are fully committed to catching this perpetrator.

"But I would advise women to take care when walking alone at night in the Livingston area, and to report any suspicious behaviour they may have noticed."
