Man charged with murder of Colin Armstrong found in Macmerry

A 38 year old man has been charged with the murder of a man found in a house in East Lothian.

Colin Armstrong, 49, was found dead at the property in Macmerry on Tuesday 7 October.

Anne Gray, 74, Mr Armstrong's mother, said: "Colin was a loving, gentle, harmless, friendly but very private man."

The man who has been charged is due to appear at Haddington Sheriff Court on Thursday.
