Six people arrested at illegal rave in West Lothian
Six people have been arrested after hundreds attended an illegal rave in a derelict building in West Lothian.
Police Scotland had warned people not to attend the event planned at two different locations on Saturday night on safety grounds.
Officers said "several hundred" people turned up despite the appeal.
Five men and a woman were arrested after a disturbance. Charges included breach of the peace, assault on an officer and drugs offences.
Ch Insp Andy McLean said: "We want people to have a good time, but in a safe and legal manner, and the location in a derelict building was dangerous and unsafe.
"We issued a warning asking people not to turn up but some did. Six people have now been charged, including one female, for assaulting an officer."
